JBCE attended the 10th EU-JAPAN ICT STRATEGIES WORKSHOP

JBCE Digital Innovation Committee (DI Committee) attended the 10th EU-Japan ICT Strategies Workshop.

DI Committee Vice Chair, Mr. Lars Bruckner made a presentation to explain JBCE’s position on AI underlying the fact that the EU and Japan share the same fundamental values regarding human rights, safety and so forth which can serve as the cornerstone of the compatibility of the EU and Japanese AI governance frameworks and the interoperability of both AI ecosystems.

JBCE believes that the regulatory focus should be limited to high-risk AI only and it should be necessary to make use of existing legislation (e.g. automotive, medical) to avoid double regulations.

JBCE remains committed to providing the contributions to the EU’s AI discussions.
