JBCE participated in the Trade and Sustainable Development Joint Dialogue with Civil Society under Japan-EU EPA

On 27th January, the Trade and Sustainable Development Joint Dialogue with Civil Society under Japan-EU EPA was held and JBCE, Ms. Yukako Konoshita of a chair for JBCE CSR committee, provided a presentation: "Industry perspectives to deliver inclusive economic growth and promote sustainable business behaviour".
In the presentation, JBCE highlighted three points that would help the industry conduct responsible business conduct effectively.

1. Action oriented multi-stakeholder approach
2. Supporting measures for companies to be encouraged to accelerate responsible supply chains
3. Strong G to G cooperation and leadership

Lastly, JBCE proposed to launch the scoping study between Japan and EU under the EPA, in order to establish the environment for industry to achieve resilience in supply chains, while increasing corporate values.
Our proposal was welcomed by participants of the dialogue and JBCE will continuously contribute to realise it with cooperation with various stakeholders in Japan and EU.
